As I don't have time to be more articulate, this is freaking brilliant. Thank you!

I should probably figure out how to use RSS feeds. Thanks for sharing this approach, it’s completely different to how I consume content.

Yeah, I started on an RSS reader when it came out about twenty years ago, but then moved off of it after Google Reader died and made my own software that pulled them down and posted the top posts to Twitter along with other things I followed there. That mixture worked well until Elon & co killed my personal bot a few years ago :(, so I was forced to go looking again for something else. It was pleasant to see the RSS reader space seemed to be flourishing again so there are a lot of options.

Very handy — I did not know about those Reddit top RSS feeds.

I have gone back and forth between Overcast and Castro as my podcast app. I often find content on YouTube (lectures, classes, etc.) that I would like to listen to while cleaning or running, but don’t need to watch. So I like Castro’s sideload feature that turns a YouTube video into an audio file in the podcast queue.

I was inspired by Jack Conte’s creative video for the NYTimes a couple of days ago about algorithms that serve people instead of people serving the algorithm … and you seem to have found a nice way to do that.

Thanks for tip -- I really feel I'm missing out on good YouTube content but I also would rather listen to it in podcast form, so will check out Castro for that.
